We are thrilled to announce the addition of two exceptional talents to our engineering team at SLPE. Please join us in welcoming Ulaganathan Mariappan and Alex D’Souza, both joining as Senior Designers.

Introducing Ulaganathan Mariappan

Ulaganathan Mariappan, our new Senior Designer, is a seasoned professional with a rich 28-year career in engineering design. He holds a Master of Science in Building Information Modelling and Management (BIMM) from Oxford Brookes University.

Ulaganathan’s experience spans across various domains, including power plants, oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. He has been instrumental in preparing 3D models, design drawings, and fabrication detailing in civil and structural works. His expertise particularly shines in the design of pipe routing, steel, and concrete.

Ulaganathan has worked on significant projects like the Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build Project and the Leuna 2020+ Revamp Project. At Jacobs Engineering, he led the Tekla Team for the PDMS to Tekla Conversion Group, underlining his leadership capabilities and technical proficiency.

Welcoming Alex D’Souza

Alex D’Souza joins us as a Senior Designer, bringing over 12 years of experience in offshore steel structures and CAD design. His journey in engineering began at Goa Engineering College, where he specialised in Engineering Design and AutoCAD Design.

Alex is proficient in various software packages, including Advance Steel. His expertise extends to Tekla and Revit, adding significant value to his CAD design capabilities.

Having worked with notable companies like Saipem and TechnipFMC, Alex has been a part of major energy projects in the Middle East and the UK. His portfolio includes detailed drawings for offshore steel structures, pipelines, risers, platform layouts, and subsea systems. His project management skills, combined with his adaptability and attention to detail, have consistently ensured the success of complex projects.
