SLPE Welcomes Chris Russell as New Senior Engineer

We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to the SLPE family – Chris Russell, who will be joining our team as a Senior Engineer. With his appointment, we continue to bolster our expertise and take another exciting step forward in delivering excellence to our clients.

Chris brings with him a commendable nine years of experience as a structural engineer. He has been deeply involved in the energy sector, having worked on an array of projects in both the O&G and offshore wind sectors. A significant part of his work has been dedicated to substation projects within offshore wind, showcasing his prowess in the design and analysis of both primary and secondary steel.

During his time with Petrofac and KBR, Chris showcased his technical expertise and capacity to mentor, manage, and guide more junior members of staff.

Aside from his direct project experience, Chris is proficient in a wide range of industry-specific software and tools, including Abaqus, AutoCAD, and STAAD Pro. His expertise extends to offshore structural analyses of jackets, topsides, and floating structures. Furthermore, his proven track record of supporting engineers on complex issues and optimising processes positions him as an asset to our team.
